I like that you keep tryin' with your art Paul and that you enjoy drawin' . . . I don't think the way these guys approached the "critique" was the best choice but there are always a few out there. Of course they don't post art on top of everything else, me bein' a big supporter of the "If you're gonna tell people how to do things , be sure you KNOW what your doing as well" stance. . . . I've noticed that on many of these posting sites the LESS skilled the artist the MORE critiques they have, the guys that are actually GOOD artists rarely have much to say . . . I'm curious have you picked up that "Dynamic Anatomy" book by Burne Hogarth? I think it will really help you. Also I think if ya wanna step your game up just drop doin' these full color pin ups (just for awhile) and just do A LOT of figure drawin' and master the human body, because sometimes I feel that you're so into getting an idea out of your head that ya overlook some of the more IMPORTANT aspects of the figure, anyway hope this was helpful don't let anyone ever make you stop drawin' . . . .
NEVER
stop drawin'!

Thats a good book. I use "A photo reference guide for Comic artists", Its great, i love that book.

Yeah, it is. I lost mine a few months ago, but i'm gonna get another copy asap.
And Darth Paul, if you lean towards the cartoony style like i do, check out anything by Ben Caldwell or Skottie young. Ben Caldwell has several great instructional books.

Nah, I haven't picked-up Hogarth's book yet. I really should, I know that I really should. I've been working with Christopher Hart's Cutting Edge Comic Book Anatomy and using photo references as people have suggested, to improve which have helped. I'm going to take a bit of a break anyway since I've got a few more time consuming projects on the way that don't involve drawing people so hopefully those will turn out better. Also, my wife is using our computer a lot now to finish her doctorate so I'm only going to get to use it one day a week really, and even then I may not use it. Anyway, I truely do love to draw and I won't ever stop learning how to improve and do something different each time that I do something new. Thanks again for the tips and support! hug DarthPaul

Wow! You guys rule!!
I haven't been back to C2F since they changed the look of their site really, so I missed out on participating in this. And that's unfortunate, cuz I would have been very keen to add my support for Paulie - but clearly you guys needed no aid!
Paul, Morgan, Star, Pij, B! Awesome! I am reassured about the fate of mankind if this is the calibre of our civility.
I was on the edge of my seat reading through the posts at C2F awaiting the next rebuttle from team GM and was repeatedly blown away by the intelligence, potency and honesty of the comments! You guys said it all.
DP, you handled yerself outstandingly and certainly did not deserve the attack - let alone such viscious and unprovoked insults - on your abilties in the first place.
I've always thought your pics clearly depicted that your main focus is on design - and as much as it may hold you back from focussing on the anatomy or whatever as much as maybe you should, when you really want people to see your design-work - you're gonna post it.
That's my problem at least man. Everyone knows that I am no anatomy champion! I don't even bother attempting to draw 'em most of the time! But that's mostly cuz my focus is on faces - and when I really want people to see my face-work - I'm just gonna post it.
So anyways, don't let anyone ever tell ya to stop drawing (as if they could) cuz quittin's fer losers! And kudos to the Mouse Civil Protection Squad - well played!! Pijon - yer a classic!
Remind me to call you guys next time I need my back covered! Rock on!
