I was wondering. Typically, I will sit in bed with my clipboard, which I've had for 36 years. It belonged to my mom or someone and I've used it for 3 decades. Put my typing paper on it and draw away. Anyway, so I sit there and might just doodle or practice shading, anatomy, character designs or anything. I thought it might be neat to post a couple pages once in awhile of our doodle work. You know, to see how we think, how we put art together, sorta a behind the scenes type thing. I don't think we need to flood the front page or our galleries with any old sketch on paper. But maybe a sampling of our thought processes. Maybe post something once a month or so. Sometimes, I will just draw shapes or what starts out as nothing special and it turns out to be kinda cool looking. I like drawing guns and sometimes I draw little scenes of stick people fighting, ya know? I then use those 'thumbs' to make a real picture, so I use the thumb for reference.

So, if you are so inclined, post some 'doodle' work. And I would like it to be natural. Don't read this then go home and sit there and just draw some things. Look at some of your scratch pads, old notebooks or sketchbooks and post that. You know what I mean? I look forward to seeing some stuff, so don't let me down.

I like the idea..but I think it might hurt the quality of the work posted here in what has so far been a great second run. Not that I'm saying I wouldn't like to see the process our members go through in either creating a picture or just putting their thoughts on paper. But we still are in a recruiting stage here for members..I wouldn't want to discourage them with less that top-notch images on the front page. Perhaps we could do like that other site and have either a special 'W.I.P. [Works In Progress]' gallery or just bring back the 'Cookie Jar' for stuff like that. Then only members would be able to view the 'Doodle' gallery by logging in and accessing said gallery.

Oh I don't know, I mean if some new member sees that he doesn't have to compete with our greatness by looking at our sketches...hmm? Come on, these are sketches, doodles, not finished pieces of excellence. Can't people tell the difference? There can be a gallery of Doodles set up for the work. I just think it would be cool to see that stuff. But if no one wants to play along, guess there no sense in contiuing the discussion of it.

Sure Force, if you'd like to see some sketch work or alternate stuff I've done I'd be more than happy to share. That's what I like most about here is that were open to more than just fan art. I'll find some stuff for ya.

Does your arm hurt? LOL I just voiced my opinion. It really doesn't matter much to me since I rarely keep sketches or doodles of my artwork. Actually other than thumbnails for comic pages, I really don't doodle anymore. I got some stuff from wayyyyyy back in the day..but there's no way I'm posting it LOL . Taz knows what I'm talking about. I save all my old school work for my own website. But if I stumble across something i think you guys might be interested in..I'll consider it. huh?

I guess it would be easier to show you what I mean by posting a sketch page of my own. I don't necessarily want to see sketches from 20 years ago...maybe I approach drawing differently. Like I said in the beginning, sometimes I'll just lay in bed and start messing around the paper with doodles of stuff. eh, it's easier to show you what I mean. I'll post something soon.
