  This whole concept started with Skinny, as he's the main character. I just decided to do a stick figure character with a standard yellow smiley face for a head and then I said to myself that there are other "emoticons" and soon enough I had a whole cast. Most of the cast is a member of the Smiley family and all their names also start with the letter "S". These guys, and the 3 villains I posted are the core though, with the rest being other family members, friends, foes, etc.

  I like the concept, but I agree with Dave that perhaps they would have been better as all stick figures. No big deal, just an opinion. Skinny is my favorite.

  These guys are old, so they're pretty much set as they are. Never even occured to me to make them all stick figures, although that would make their name more adpt. Skinny is the classic toon, able to do most anything, hence the classic toon hammer he has, Super is the goofy Superman parody, and Sad is poor kid who can never catch a break who usually needs rescuing by his bros, but isn't without his defenses with a cry that you don't want to hear.
