What happens when 9 year old girl named Dorthie and her dog ToTo find themselves in a strange land, sent there against her uncle and aunt's wishes by a corrupt government. Unknown to her, when the men that brought her there encountered a woman known as the Wicked One who ruled the people with an iron fist. She actually tried to attack them, being egotistical and thinking that no harm can come to her, she is soon killed by the armed men and they leave with Dorthie passed out next to the Wicked One. Her people find Dorthie and the dead ruler so they came to the conclusion that this little girl had set them free. And so the tale begins.
Dorthie: Is a 9 year old genius only wanting to go home.
Tottie: Part Wolf and Greyhound, He would defend Dorthie to his death. A scruffy dog with one large canine tooth, he is either loved or hated but nothing in between.
The Scarecrow: A deformed and deteriorating man that lives in the wild wearing a leather mask so that he will not frighten people. He is searching for a cure for his illness. He knows that it is his brain that is causing the destruction of his body but how he does not know. So he seeks A brain expect to save him.
The Tin Man: Through a mishap, found only his head encased in metal body when he regained consciences, but how and why he does not know. He too seeks a cure called, Hyper Accelerated Rejuvenation Technology, HART for short, that can take a small sample of DNA and give him a new body.
The Lion: A leader of a great people that excommunicated him after they found out that all his triumphs and deeds were lies. Branded a coward, he sets out to prove that he can once again regain his throne.

Wow! I was watching you draw this out the other day. Great concept line and I finally get to see what ToTo looks like. I love how you did the lettering in gold brick too.

I once had an idea to do something with the Wizard of Oz characters, but this is way beyond anything that I ever could have come up with and everyone knows what a vivid imagination I have. Great going Morgan, this would make some awesome reading!

Does that twisted and ever creative mind of yours ever rest? This is just too cool for words. At first glance it looks like some crazy kiddy book but after reading your backstory there is obviously more to these wild looking creatures than one would think. Is this something you're thinking about putting together or just another fabulous idea that came to you from the deep corner of an already crowded idea footlocker? At any rate

Awesome idea. I'm more impressed with the way you took the old story and made it new with the HART cure and the Lion. I would definitely get into reading this. Nice work

There was a fantasy/sci-fi mini-series on the Sci-Fi Channel - Tin Man - that also twisted the tale of OZ
