That is very psychadelic indeed. Never heard of the comic or character, was the cover art just like this or the entire comic?
The art within the comic itself tended to more surreal with occasional flashes of psychedelia except for issue #22 where they let Mr. McCarthy handle pencils and inks for the whole book. Actually, Brendan McCarthy's a top notch illustrator, psycho-delic or otherwise.

You should google his name and check out his work. This was another experiment in style for me.
Another successfully spun-out experiment Pij! Intricate and eye-grabbin work man! Detailed and energetic. Cool characters, composition and shadework. I'm always being attacked by winged eyeballs - so know how these guys feel!
Oh yeah, this one spun out alright!

Thanks Davester, I just knew you weren't gonna get blinded by the light (meant to warn folks to wear sunglasses when they look!), really appreciate your notice of and comments on aspects beyond my eye searing colors!

Keep those winged eyes at bay, brother! Maybe you could give these guys some pointers!

Ive already expressed my opinion about this pic so i'll simply address my question to my fellow mousers. Doesn't pijon just 'piss' you off when he comes up with such cool and very well thought out and composed original ideas like this? bastard!

Far out dude! Peace! having grown up in the later part of the sixities this brings back some memories... LOL -- Nice Work PJ!

Thanks Star! You too, Webby! Peace out!

Elaborate dude. Looks like plenty of effort has gone into this. Nice to see David Spade making an appearance! ha! Just jokin Pidge!
Thanks Guttenberg!

Now that ya mention it, I can see the resemblance! Spade the Changing Man?
