[color=red][size=24]July 2009 I know, you are expecting Force to excite you with his monthly news... Sorry this is Morgan talking this time, so take a break Force.

The site has been moved and this is your new home. I hope that everyone will stick around and continue to show us all the great art work that you all have produced through the years.

Like any move you might find a few bugs so let me know and I will correct them. Now let's talk about the future. I plan to streamline the site taking away some features and adding some new ones so keep your eye out for the changes.

That's about it Ex-Mousers, guess you will have to come up with a new name to call us like the Bolders or something lol

Ramblings for May 2009Greetings all. May is upon us and the year is almost half done, how many days until X-mas? Tonight, Xmen Origins hits theaters which will lead off the summer of blockbusters. Hope to catch it this weekend.

Noticed that GM has been rather slow lately, well, slower than usual. Where's the faces of Morgan and Hope? Tazman? KER, Walley and anyone else? Sure, sure, I'm not uploading mass quantities of pics either, just wondering how everyone is doing and what is keeping them busy.

I just got some brick pavers and rocks to start edging my garage and make a patio area for a barbeque. That and I will be insulating and putting up drywall in my garage has me busy. I love being able to work outside on the house.

Star, you need to send me your idea for the next D/O via email or PM asap.

Hope everyone is doing well and keeping up their art.

April 2009 Ramblings

And April is upon us, with rain and crappy weather. I have literally been going out of my mind waiting for warm weather so I can get my garage hooked up with electricity and start insulating so then I can start hanging out there and do some wood work and other manly things.

I went to see Watchmen the other day and since I didn't read the Novel yet, I didn't have any preconceived notions about how the movie should be. The way I measure a movie, if it is good or not, is if right after watching it, do I want to go see it again? Well, I feel that Watchmen is that good. The movie seemed to be more story driven than action and there wasn't very many scenes of costumed fighting, but the characters and story were good enough to hold my attention.

I don't know how many of you actually read comics anymore, but I was looking through my Mom's Wizard magazine recently and it just boggles my mind how many different titles are out there. How can anyone stay loyal to one title, artist or writer when folks change so often and there are so many story arcs to follow? I yearn for simpler times when I could pick up an Iron Man book and know I didn't have to follow the story into several other different titles to get the complete ending. Sure, the talent out there are great, I certainly like the more stylized and realistic approach to comics but there is such a thing as to much flash.

I think that all of our entries in the Draw/off were worthy of becoming actual cartoons. Look at all the lame ideas that come to tv, be it sitcoms or dramas that last 2 episodes or even kids programs that seem assinine. All of the ideas presented here seem like shows I would watch and get into. Now, that may be a good thing or a bad thing, you decide. lol

Until next month,

March 2009 Ramblings

Well March is upon us, I'm sure some of you will be following College Basketball and getting into that fever. Winter is almost over and soon days of fun in the sun will be coming. Watchmen starts this Friday and I hope to go see it this weekend. Aside from the usual, there really isn't anything new going on to ramble about. lol

Remember the Draw/off, make your own cartoon characters. Have fun!!

To anyone having a March Birthday, like my daughter, congrats and Happy Birthday.

If anyone has any major announcements, let me know and I can always put them up here in the Ramblings section.

As always, thanks for everyones continued participation and great art. Have a Happy St. Patricks day and stay safe.

February 2009 RamblingsSorry so late in the ramblings but I was sick and frankly I forgot. No one reads this anyway do they? Valentines Day is right around the corner and I'm sure everyone here is making their loved ones a nice card right? I mean, we're artists so we don't need to buy a card...homemade cards mean more right? lol.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before but I'll do it now. For the past several months or longer, I'm not online that much, maybe once a week. Between taking care of the house, daughter, and other projects, I just sorta lost the gumption to log on everyday. So if I miss commenting to anyones art or PM's or email, don't fret. I will eventually respond and I do look through all the pics I can. Like I said last month I'm working on a project that I hope will come out nice. I'm working in clay and it's been awhile, but I'm slowly getting back into it.

I just noticed that The Watchmen movie will be coming out soon. I missed The Spirit and some other cool movies, but I'm gonna really try to get to the theater to see Watchmen.

I hope everyone is doing well and keeps up the good work with their art. Welcome back to MarvTMartian, who graces us once again with his talent. Thanks to you all for your continued support.

January 2009 RAMBLINGS Sorry for the delay in the ramblings, it's almost February now eh? lol. Well, I haven't been on the computer as much as I used to and what with my old age I tend to space out things.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and had a safe New Year's Eve. 2008 seemed to fly by fast for me, I think the older you get, the faster time moves. We have a new president coming into office in a few days and that seems to have alot of folks excited.

I have been doing some sculpting the past month and I don't want to say more about it until after I get finished with my first project. It's been nice to get into the medium, as I've always loved working in clay. Hopefully when the spring comes and I get my garage fitted with my workshop that I can set it up as my art studio and perhaps get into some painting or other art mediums.

I'd like to thank all of you guys who visit GM regularily and post art and comments for your continued support. Like I've said, you guys are what makes this site, I'm just here for the ride. I enjoy seeing everyone's pics and I'm thrilled to see new people post here. To you new folks, thanks for stopping by GM and sharing your art with us, this is your home as well.

I hope 2009 is better for everyone and that we all can continue to push out great art. It really motivates me to see the work you guys do, it inspires me to keep at it. Thanks.

DECEMBER 2008 RAMBLINGS Season greetings to everyone. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and had your fill of turkey and fixings or whatever your traditions call for. Me, I did nothing, woot.

So December is upon us, the last month of 2008. Xmas is in 23 days and if you have kids I bet they are begging you for a crap load of presents. We have our tree up already and I thought it might be interesting if you all would take a snapshot of your tree and post it here for all of us to enjoy. Share a little of your personal life and we can see how the rest of the world decorates their tree. If you don't celebrate Xmas but another holiday, tell us about it and post pics of the Kwanza tree or whatever they use. Personally I'm not a big holiday fan, but I do it for my daughter.

Keep up the great turn out for the Draw/off, it's been a great run the last few months. I hope to be doing more drawing here soon and it inspires me greatly to see everyone's art.

I wish you all a great holiday season this month and be careful on Xmas and New Years Eve, stay safe and drive careful if you are travelling. Best wishes to all you Mousers.

November 2008 Ramblings

Greetings everyone. Hope you all had a good and safe Halloween. We now focus our attention to Thanksgiving and all the meriment of family get togethers. You know, 14 or more people gathered at Aunt Julies house with Turkey, mashed potatoes, scalloped corn, gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing and pumpkin pie to top it all off. And after stuffing your guts, we sit and watch some football while the kids run around screaming. Good times eh?

The 16th D/O went great, lots of cool characters and art to look at. With the multiple entries we have, it would be great if those of you who vote for one of the grouped together entries with no name listed to comment and tell us which one you voted for. For example, Morgan had 3 'other' entries besides the one I listed by title and he had 3 votes for those others drawings, but we have no idea which ones got the vote. So if you could, let us know which one you voted for by leaving a comment in the Poll area after you vote. Thank you for your cooperation.

Seeing as how I didn't win the D/O I can't make the next theme, but I had a great idea for a drawing theme that I will post here shortly. This is not a contest but rather a great opportunity for using your imagination and making some cool character designs. I hope you all will at least read what I have in mind and think about doing some drawings.

This year has been flying by and tomorrow is voting for President. If you are into all the hustle and bustle of politics, make sure you go vote. If you are like me, then voting either way seems like a bad decision and therefore will not be partaking in the voting festivities, it is our constitutional right to not choose.

I hope everyone has a great November and Thanksgiving, Cya next month!!

October 2008 Ramblings Ah, October is here. One of my favorite months. The past couple weeks I've been busy helping my Dad with demolition of their house. They are remodeling their home and it's a huge mess out there. I've also been doing some of my own remodeling with a new tile floor in the bathroom and entryway.

I've really enjoyed seeing all the submissions from everyone in the D/O. Once again we are having one heck of a showing. I really wish I could motivate myself to pump out as many pics as Dave or DP but it's tough to do right now. I applaude everyone who participated this contest, very good drawings which will make chosing a winner even harder.

Even with our small community here, and we have a small audience, it's still nice. I feel I need to repeat myself in thanking all of you who make this site run. GM wouldn't be anything without it's members.

I hope everyone has a great October and safe Halloween. If anyone is dressing up or dressing their kids up, take some pics and post them here. Also, we don't have a Halloween Themed event per se, but perhaps we can all come up with a cool spooky pic. If we get enough, I'll make an album...unless I forget and you guys can remind me. lol.

September 2008 Ramblings Yes, summer is all but over, and really it wasn't a hot and humid summer like past years. Course, having central air really helps too. lol.

I always feel weird writing these up each month. It doesn't contain any news, so calling it a Newsletter is not right. And there isn't any update, so calling it an Update doesn't work. So from now on out, this will be the Ramblings...at least until a better title comes along. lol

Since the summer is almost over, I would imagine that we would all have more time to do art, right? Guys like Temporal Dave who submit multiple entries really motivate me, and it's great to see everyone still plugging away and posting here.

I hope everyone had a great summer, this year is flying by. I was just thinking, maybe we can all think up some themes to do that we would all get behind. Maybe a tribute to the soldiers, or something like that.

Anyway, if anyone has anything entertaining to talk about like a Con they went to or any comic related news, keep us up to date via the forums.
